Oak Wilt Treatment & Prevention

Oak wilt is the most destructive tree disease in Texas, and is killing our oak trees in epidemic proportions. It is an infectious disease caused by a fungus that invades and disables the water-conducting system in oak trees. We offer both preventative and curative treatments for oak wilt using macro-root flare injection. This is the only treatment method recognized as effective by the Texas Forest Service and Texas A&M. The loss, removal, and replacement of your trees can far outweigh the cost of treatment.

Emerald Ash Borer

Treatment & Prevention

The Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) was found to be active in Parker County in April of 2022, and has since been found in countless neighborhoods in this area, indicating that it has been here for some time. This invasive species affects all ash tree varieties and has no known predators or natural resistance. If infected, a tree will start to decline and die in a few years time. There is a treatment that has been proven effective to prevent and treat actively infected ash trees, if caught in time.

TREE FERTILIZATION

deeproot2.jpg

Deep Root Feeding

Beginning in early spring, we inject a combination of fertilizer and organic root growth products into the root zone of trees and shrubs. This furnishes the plants with the nutrients they need for the coming growing season. This process is typically repeated again in the fall to help sustain the tree through the winter, and promote year-round root development. Deep root feeding can also be used to correct specific micronutrient deficiencies and aid in the recovery of damaged trees.

Tree Injections

This treatment method is a safer option for your family and the environment. All products used in injections remain in the tree, reducing the risk of exposure. Injections have a longer residual than spraying because they are not affected by rain or sunlight. This is also a great option for trees located near a water source (i.e. lake or pond) or a neighbor's property line. We offer a full line of injections including insecticides, fungicides, and fertilizers.

MOSQUITO CONTROL

Mistaway Mosquito Misting Systems

These automatic misting systems effectively eliminate mosquitos and other insects around your home. Each system is uniquely customized to fit your property and cover the areas that you use most in your yard. Systems automatically mist at predetermined intervals throughout the day, and can also be activated at any time using the included remote control. The insecticides used in these systems are fast acting and break down quickly in sunlight, so that they do not build up on your property, and are safe to use around your family and pets.

Mosquito Fogging

This once a month treatment includes a growth regulator and a micro-encapsulated insecticide that is concentrated in areas where mosquitoes harbor, including shrubs and low lying areas around your home. These specialized insecticides last longer than traditional products, and are safer because they do not move or easily wash off once applied.

FIRE ANT TREATMENT

Fire ants are most visible in spring, summer, and early fall following rainy periods. Fire ant queens can establish new  colonies several hundred feet from a previous colony within a few weeks, with an average colony consisting of 100,000 to 500,000 ants. We provide the following 2 options, both of which have proven to be extremely effective.

Classic

A broadcast application applied approximately every 3 months during the seasons when fire ants are most active. The first application is applied as early as March, depending on the weather and fire ant emergence.

Top Choice

A single, broadcast application for the control for fire ants for up to a full year. This product controls existing colonies, as well as prevents new infestations, and continues to be effective after rain or irrigation.

LAWN & ORNAMENTAL INSECT AND DISEASE CONTROL

Bagworm Damage.JPG

This treatment with a highly-refined oil, is completed during the dormant season. The oil suffocates insect larva and eggs that winter-over in the cracks and crevices of the bark.
